Unlike other popular resorts on the Turkish Mediterranean Coast, such as Icmeler, this tranquil resort is particularly less developed. It offers amongst its accommodation and basic town facilities a great deal of natural and historic attractions for those on their Dalyan holidays to take advantage of.

This town is still very much Turkish, there is not the common element of 'Britain with sun' that can plague other resorts in the high season. The language is still predominantly Turkish with people speaking some English in tourist facilities and shops, along with the standard Turkish friendliness and hospitality.
